"Hi, my name is Rina and I am here because I am considering getting a rhinoplasty from Dr. Dugar. I've had this bump on my nose that I've been insecure about for over 10 years now. It's honestly affecting my career, my confidence, I also have a breathing problem not really sure if its something medical or even something he can fix or if it's just regular allergies. I found Dr. Dugar on Instagram and his approach honestly really stood out to me because he just enhances people's natural beauty. This is just something that I have been feeling really insecure about for a long time and I just think that this is just something that I want to do to make myself feel more beautiful.

Welcome to Beverly Hills! What can I do for you?

I just want a subtle change. I think from the profile of my nose, from the front, I think it looks good. From the side, I have just always been insecure from this bump I just think it's a little bit more masculine.

So, with rhinoplasty there are two types of rhinoplasty: open vs. closed. And then, thats one candidacy where we decide if you are a good candidate for closed rhinoplasty, which is the Scarless Approach that I use. The other is open rhinoplasty that is more reconstructive. So the next thing that I am going to do is take you to the other room, my examination room where I am going to look inside your nose. I am going to use a little headlight and a speculum just to see what the internal anatomy of your nose looks like. Yup, so you're about 60-70% blocked on one side of your nose. The other side is pretty straight. It was interesting to see that she definitely has a significantly deviated septum, about 60% blockage on her left side. That's enough to make anybody have trouble breathing, so I understand that part of it. And then also anatomically she does have 2 -2.5 mm strength on her side profile that definitely is giving her some insecurity with the strength of her nose. I do all of this from inside the nose with no external cuts or scars called closed scarless rhinoplasty so all of the incisions are completely hidden so no one will ever know you had surgery because there is no cuts on the outside of the nose.

So, it is the morning of surgery. I went to bed last night thinking about Rina's case and thinking about exactly what we are going to do today. I think we have a great plan. This morning I am going to talk to her before surgery, as soon as she gets here, to make sure she is totally comfortable with exactly what we are planning to do today.

I am feeling a mix of emotions just knowing that it is going to be worth it in the end and that I am going to have the confidence I have always wanted.

So before surgery, we always want to make sure that the anatomical plan matches the patients actual anatomy. So, I go through all of her photos really detailed.
