What Evidence Do You Need for a VA Disability Claim?
Most VA disability claims don't stall because the veteran wasn't hurt. They stall because the claim arrived incomplete, and the VA mails back a request for more evidence. This is Episode 8 of VA Claims Explained: filing with the right documentation and evidence, so your claim gets decided the first time instead of being sent back for more.
I'm Marcus Byrd, retired Army, 20 years, Bronze Star, rated 100%. I got there without a VSO, a coach, or a paid service. This channel teaches the model I call the 100% Veteran: owning every stage of your claim, from Intent to File to the rating decision. It's a model, not a guarantee, the cleanest path I know, not a promise about your individual rating.

• What "right documentation" actually means (it's not the thickest file)
• The three elements every claim must prove: current disability, in-service event, and the nexus
• The two kinds of evidence the VA recognizes, and how to aim each one
• How to use the Statement in Support of a Claim as a legal document, not a diary
📍 The ecosystem, when you need the actual paperwork steps:
VA Claims Decoded (step-by-step filing) · VA Claims Whisperer (women veterans) · VA Claims Unlocked (Guard, Reserve & Coast Guard)
