Trump says new faces in his administration could help him "break the deep state"

During an interview that aired on Sunday, U.S. President Donald Trump stated his intention to break up the so-called "deep state" with help from, among others, his acting director of national intelligence Richard Grenell.

Speaking on the "Full Measure with Sharyl Attkisson" Trump suggested Grenell was accomplishing what some of his former administration officials could not, without giving any specifics.

He further nudged Attorney General William Barr and Justice Department prosecutor John Durham to "do the right thing," without adding any detail to what his suggestion meant. The President was possibly making a reference to his own past-stated desire to see the Department of Justice bring charges against former Obama administration officials.

In recent weeks, Trump has also accused his predecessor Barack Obama of seeking to damage his presidency, repeatedly referring to it as "Obamagate.”

The president also stated that he's finished his two week-course of hydroxychloroquine saying “I'm still here.”
