STF recovers large cache of arms and ammunition during raids in Sandeshkhali and adjoining areas

A major operation conducted by the Special Task Force (STF) led to the recovery of a large quantity of illegal arms and ammunition from Sandeshkhali and adjoining areas, marking a significant breakthrough against illegal weapons networks.

According to Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari, the STF carried out intelligence-based raids across Sandeshkhali, Basanti and Kumrakhali, resulting in the seizure of hidden weapons and ammunition.

Praising the operation, Adhikari said he highly appreciated the prompt action and coordination among the Director General of Police, West Bengal Police, the STF team and personnel of the Basirhat Police District.

The operation is being viewed as a major success, particularly in Sandeshkhali, which has remained at the centre of political and law-and-order discussions in recent months.

Further investigation is underway to determine the source of the recovered arms and identify those involved in the alleged network.
