Testing the Breaking Points of Hardwood Species | Engels Coach Shop

I am going to stress test 5 different species of hardwoods to see which one performs best for wagon doubletree applications. Building and restoring horse drawn vehicles requires understanding which woods work best in different uses. Ash, Hard Maple, White Oak, Red Oak and Hickory are commonly used in wagons, buggies and coaches, but not all perform equally as well in all applications. This is finding the best species suited for the doubletree eveners.
