Big Reactors - Simple Reactor/Turbine Combo Setup
Just a quick tutorial showing how to use reactors and turbines together to create power.
The Reactor - when given water and fuel - will create steam which can then be sent to the Turbine which will turn steam into RF and Water. The water can be sent back into the reactor creating a cycle of water into steam and steam into water.
Items Needed:
Reactor:
- X amount of Reactor Casings
- X amount of Reactor Glass Casings (Optional)
- X amount of Yellorium Fuel Rods
- X amount of Control Rods
- 2 Access Ports - one set to input, the other set to output
- 2 Coolant Ports - one set to input, the other set to output
- 1 Reactor Controller
Turbine:
- X amount of Turbine Housing
- X amount of Turbine Glass Housing
- X amount of Rotor Shafts
- X amount of Rotor Blade
- X amount of turbine coil material (Iron blocks, gold blocks, etc. In the example we use Ludicrite as its the best coil material for efficiency)
- 1 Rotor Bearing
- 1 Power Port
- 2 Fluid Ports - one set to input, the other set to output
- 1 Turbine Controller
Misc:
- Any sort of fluid transferring block (I used Super-Laminar Fluiducts from Thermal Dynamics for this tutorial)
- Some water
- A storage area for the RF to go into.
