Anticipating CSICon 2023:A Video Interview with Mick West

You may have recently seen Mick interviewed on TV and on various YouTube channels explaining his analysis of the recent UFO videos, including those infamous Navy videos, claimed by believers to be “proof” we are not alone. Mick has become the go-to skeptic for what seems like every media outlet there is, whenever they run a sensational UFO story, and grudgingly reserve a moment or two for the skeptical POV.

I am aware that the initialism UFO (for Unidentified Flying Object) is considered skunked by NASA, and was changed to UAP, first meaning Unidentified Aerial Phenomena and then more recently Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena. In this article, I am thumbing my nose at this misguided decision, and I exclusively use the older designation. Otherwise, World UFO Day has to be replaced, Wikipedia article names like this one need to be changed, and UFOlogy becomes UAPology. I say no thank you! Maybe if we all refuse to go along with this silly rebranding, NASA will admit to the mistake of ever trying to ditch the term everyone now associates with this subject.

Of course, Mick’s upcoming presentation for CSICon 2023 is on the topic of UFOs. “What’s Next – The Men In Black? Why is the Government Studying UFOs?” is scheduled for Friday at 12:30pm. Here is the talk’s description from the conference’s website:

UFOlogy is finally getting the attention proponents think it deserves. Congressional and Senate UFO hearings have been held for the first time in over fifty years. The Pentagon announced the formation of a task force to study UFOs and find out what they really are. How did we get here, what is the Pentagon doing, and what does it mean for the future of UFOlogy?

During our fascinating conversation, Mick and I discuss the current UFO claims, including those being made by “whistleblower” David Grusch. Is there a crashed football-field sized spacecraft, too big to move, hidden under a building at an undisclosed location on the planet? (I’m personally very suspicious of the soon-to-open 516’ diameter Las Vegas Sphere, which supposedly has just a VIP club in its basement!) Is the government about to finally reveal their almost half-century cover-up of extraterrestrial visitation? Do we have alien bodies in formaldehyde? Is Lockheed Martin, my former employer, under contract to reverse engineer tech from crashed UFOs for the U.S. military industrial complex?
