Here I present an album of photographs of the Volga city of Cheboksary, the capital city of Chuvashia in Russia.
Dating back to medieval times, Cheboksary was only established as a settlement in 1555 when a fortress was built. During the next 100 years the town prospered and by the end of the 17th century was regarded as a major city and granted town status in 1781 within the Kazan Governorate.....
