Duchess of Cambridge greets troops at spectacular military concert

The Duchess of Cambridge has made her debut at The Household Division's Beating Retreat ceremony. Catherine took the salute for the first time at the annual concert. The duty is always performed by a member of the royal family.

Over 750 soldiers performed in ceremonial uniform for the spectacular display at Horse Guards Parade. The event happens each year on the Wednesday and Thursday evenings preceding the 'Trooping The Colour', The Queen's Birthday Parade. The event also paid tribute to the 75th anniversary of the D-Day landings.
