Soviet 6x4 Bayonet for the AKM and AK-74 Assault Rifles

The official model designation of the bayonet is 6x4. In English-language literature, bayonets of this type are commonly referred to as the “Second-Model AKM Bayonet.” It is an improved version of the 6x3 model bayonet, with the main difference is the design of the handle.
The 6x4 model bayonet was supplied to various countries along with AKM assault rifles; in addition, copies of the bayonet were produced in Bulgaria, East Germany, Egypt, Iraq, China, Poland, Romania, North Korea, and Yugoslavia.

The bayonets were produced for several decades and, depending on the production date, may have slight differences in markings and minor details.
