The Magic of Dual Concentric Sound

The Tannoy Dimension TD12 is one of the most interesting loudspeakers from Tannoy’s early 2000s lineup. Designed for the new high-resolution audio formats of the time such as SACD and DVD-Audio, these speakers were capable of reproducing frequencies far beyond the traditional limits of human hearing.

In this video I share my personal experience listening to the Tannoy Dimension TD12, including a look at their design, technical features, and most importantly their sonic character.

The TD12 features Tannoy’s famous Dual Concentric driver, combined with the ST-200 super tweeter, allowing the speaker to reach frequencies up to 54 kHz. The result is a speaker capable of excellent phase coherence, impressive dynamics and a very natural presentation of acoustic instruments and voices.
