Confessing Our Debt to Family | Diaries of a Debtor

I did something that I thought I'd never do, which was confess to my sister about our debt. It was a really raw conversation and I was totally expecting harsh criticism, but to my surprise she was very understanding about our situation.

In the beginning of this debt free journey, I thought I just could keep this whole thing a secret from family and friends. I was determined to just pay this off ASAP and move on with my life and leave this behind me without anyone knowing. I'm glad I mustered up the courage to speak my truth because I feel so much lighter now.
