In memory of the 40th Anniversary of Bon Scott’s passing. Canning Highway, a main arterial road in Perth, was closed to all traffic minus the bands playing on trailers in true Long Way To The Top fashion.

3500 of the crowd made a new world record for playing air guitar, just a few more than at Tumbalong Park many years before for anyone who remembers taking part in that one 😎

100,000+ people were estimated to have been taking to the streets to watch this spectacle.

I took the opportunity to catch the first float as it rolled its way into Fremantle after starting at The Raffles Hotel and finishing at the Rainbow Containers before getting back to work.
