Today we’re flying an absolute aviation icon, the aerial workhorse which is the DC3 Dakota/C47 Skytrain from VSKYLABS.

To mark this inaugural FD2S DC3 service we’re back in the United States where we’re going to take off from Miami Opa-Locka Airport and fly to Havana in Cuba making a stop via Key West on the way.

The VSKYLABS DC3/C47 is a very authentic replica of its real-world counterpart with realistic flight performance and handling. It must be flown with respect to prevent any problems!

With a gloomy looking forecast in Florida we’ll see if my ability to fly a 737 in IMC in Europe can translate into getting this old bird to Cuba in one piece!

The primary purpose of this stream is to give you the opportunity to see how I operate the aircraft in real time using real world operating procedures.

Time permitting, I will try and answer some questions you might have about commercial aviation and operating the 737-800 in general.

Whilst every effort is made to accurately replicate the way the aircraft is flown based on my experience as an Airline Captain and Type Rating Instructor, this is purely for entertainment only.
