The Pentagon has said in a briefing that they were not aware that two members of the House of Representatives secretly visited Kabul. "We are obviously not encouraging VIP visits" Pentagon Press Secretary Jon Kirby told reporters, emphasizing the focus on evacuation efforts from Afghanistan.
