Fraser Island Ep 2

We spend 2 and a half weeks on magnificent Fraser Island, camping in a tent, exploring all the best features and enjoying some fishing. We see heaps of Dingos and their Pups and from our campsites we watch Humpback Whales swim past plus we view so many stunning sunsets.



In this Episode we enjoy the magic clear waters of Eli Creek and set up new camp at Marloo Campground past Orchid Beach. We meet up with mates Dave and Leesa and head up to the tip at Sandy Cape.

Dave also shows us a few card tricks before we check out the Maheno wreck again.

We go to another rarely explored place at Lake Allom before making our way to the sensational western beaches of Fraser Island where we meet a family of Dingos.




Our vehicle is a 2015 MN Triton with a number of upgrades but still running standard tyres.

Upgrades include Dobinsons Bullbar and Suspension kit with 2 inch lift and 550 leafs. We have had Chassis strengthening completed by Superior Engineering to brace the chassis.

Our canopy comes with a 180w solar panel to a 120amp lithium battery running our Waeco 35L fridge.

For this trip we also have a 200amp AGM running a 65L iPrimus dual fridge/freezer.

From the 4wd Super Centre we chose the Domin8r 9” spotlights and the Domin8tor Extreme 12,000lb winch. We also carry the Kings 250w solar blanket.


We ran our tyres at 18psi but did drop them to 15psi for Nkgala Rocks.
