With everything that is going right now in the stock market, I am getting A LOT of questions from viewers, personal friends and family wondering how to get started investing in the stock market with just $1,000. They ask questions from which brokerage account should I sign up for to which stocks should I buy right now and when should I buy them. So I decided that a video like this one had to be created. A video that goes over how to invest your first $1,000 in the stock market. A true video for investing for beginners.
In this video I go over 3 basic ways to get started investing in the stock market as a beginner.
1. Which brokerage account should you use?
There are a sh*t ton of brokerages to choose from nowadays. I personally have been using 3 of them, M1 Finance, Webull and Robinhood. All of them I highly recommend to use.
2. Which investing strategy should you use?
To be completely honest, I think people get stuck on this one at the very beginning. I'd say first just get started then learn as you go. I like to say start investing in stock you consume and understand. It's nice being a part owner of a company you already use ;). Now, once you get your feet a little wet then I you may start noticing a strategy that suites you. I go over 2 of the most popular strategies in this video and that is Dividend and Growth investing. I do a little bit of both.
3. How to find/research stocks?
I give you guys 3 resources I use on a daily basis to look up, find information, or just to search for new stocks. The main ones I use are Seeking Alpha, Finviz and NASDAQ.
I also give a bonus at the end of the video of 3 stocks I plan on buying (or already own) and holding forever.
