Improving Super Smash Brothers: Samus

From a design perspective, Samus is one of my least favorite characters in the Smash Brothers series. Of all the original 12, her moveset has aged the worst, and even then, her original design was less "Hey, you get to play as Samus", and more "Hey, here's this character that LOOKS like Samus and has several references to the Metroid series!" Not to mention that they designed Zero Suit Samus in a way that she's objectively stronger then her fully armored counterpart. And that's just dumb. Let's bring her up to speed with the rest of the cast!

May 2020 Retrospective Edit: This is a fascinating video to look back on, as I absolutely LOVE the idea... but that's partially because it continued to evolve after I uploaded this. What we have here is what I'd consider a rough draft nowadays, the point where I've gotten a video to where I want it to be, but now I have to clean up the idea and turn it into something serviceable. Were I to remake this video today I'd still hit all the same beats. I want to toggle between different "modes" of attack, I want to flesh out the morph ball, etc., but the way I put that forward here is extremely scatterbrained and messy, I may try again someday to organize it into something more reasonable.

I'd give it a 7/10 nowadays, a 9 if I can cheat and fill in the blanks with how the idea works in my head.
