Bulgarian M36 Helmet

This video will be on a very interesting version of the stahlhelm. This family of helmets began its existence in 1935 where it was designed to replace the old stocks of German wwi helmets Bulgaria had. The design was based off of the wwi stahlhelm with a cut back shell and a more swept skirt to improve visibility and hearing. The design was finalized in 1936 and began production under contract in germany until pressed could be made and purchased and in the late 30’s the machinery would be completed and shipped from Germany to Bulgaria where all subsequent production would be completed. There are 3 models of m36 called the A, B, and C respectively. The A had a rolled rim and incredibly heavy steel and large liner rivets. The B has a raw edge and can have either large or small liner rivets. The C has small liner rivets down by the rim connected to spring steel arms that’s re then in turn connected to the liner and also a raw edge. Hopefully you liked this video and subscribed if you like this sort of stuff. Please leave a comment with any questions, additional information, user experiences, or suggestions for future videos and I will do my best to answer them. As always thanks for watching.
