How to Solve Arrow Sudoku Puzzles
Arrow sudoku, or arrowdoku, is a fun and fairly difficult variant of standard sudoku. It incorporates some extra logic involving arithmetic that is similar to killer sudoku, but what makes it unique is that the values along the body of the arrow and the value in the circled head can interact to constrain each other during the solve.
This video explains the rules and looks at how to get started solving an arrow sudoku: as with most puzzles in this family, getting going and building up momentum with the solve is the most difficult part. We look at common ways to make progress in the early stages of solving an arrow sudoku.
The rules are that you must place 1-9 once in each region (row, column, box) as usual, however the grid also contains arrows. The values in cells along the body of an arrow must sum to the digit in its head (the circled cell). Numbers may repeat along the body of an arrow if doing so does not break standard sudoku rules (in other words, if all the cells along the body an arrow are in the same region then digits will not repeat along it, whilst if it spans across multiple regions, then it is possible that digits repeat).
We hope you find this video useful in learning how to go about solving arrowsudoku puzzles. Please do like the video and subscribe to the channel if you find this video useful, we really appreciate your support.
