Menopause series - Frozen Shoulder & Joint Pain

Did you know frozen shoulder is significantly more common in women aged 40-60? It's not a coincidence.
Currently training as a menopause coach - here's the oestrogen connection most women aren't told about:
Oestrogen plays a critical role in collagen production, inflammation regulation, tissue repair, and joint lubrication. When it drops in perimenopause, connective tissue becomes less flexible, more prone to inflammation, and slower to heal.
This explains not just frozen shoulder, but tendinitis, plantar fasciitis, joint pain that "comes from nowhere," longer recovery from exercise, and increased injury risk.
What helps: HRT (discuss with GP), physiotherapy, collagen support (vitamin C, protein, omega-3s), anti-inflammatory nutrition, gentle consistent movement, heat therapy, stress management.
If you're experiencing joint pain in your 40s or 50s - you're not imagining it. You're not just getting old. Your body is going through a hormonal transition that affects your entire musculoskeletal system.
You deserve treatment that addresses what's actually happening.
