Why Apple Uses Intelligence Instead Of Machine Learning

At the recent WWDC'21 event, apple announced a bunch of new features that were powered by "Intelligence". Intelligence seems to Apple's word for machine learning. In this video, I discuss why apple is using the word intelligence and what does intelligence even mean. We also discuss where intelligence fits into machine learning and what are some of the coolest intelligent features that apple is releasing.

In addition, we also talk about the proactive intelligence team. This team at apple, is tasked at creating and implementing intelligence. They make use of machine learning to identify how to make the apple experience more intelligence by predicting what kind of features should be automated by studying how users use apple devices.

Apple has truly trademarked the term intelligence and we will most likely see this term being used alongside machine learning in the near future.
