THIRTY MILES | A Gritty, Neo-Noir Western Short Film

"You ever drag a man through the desert? Didn't think so."

Thirty Miles is a gritty, psychological neo-noir Western short film that strips away the romanticism of the Old West to explore the gruelling, exhausting reality of death, betrayal, and the heavy physical cost of redemption.

An aging, dying protagonist named Silas endures immense physical strain as he drags the body of his former partner, Colm, thirty miles through a hot, sun-baked wilderness toward an abandoned cabin. His goal? To secure a desperate, final confession to clear his name. But when fate cuts the journey short, Silas is forced to take destiny into his own rigid hands.

Starring a local cast and driven by an intense, tactile soundscape, Thirty Miles was written and directed by Jacob Sali and produced by independent production entity 1TJ Films and Plentifilm.

An ultra-low-budget indie passion project, this film was shot entirely on location in Ontario, Canada.
