The COLOSSAL Led Zeppelin Solo that INSPIRED Me! (and Still Does)

The solo in Whole Lotta Love totally BLEW MY MIND! I didn’t know it at the time, but here’s how Jimmy Page supercharged BB King. It was 1976 or 1977. I just bought Led Zeppelin I and Led Zeppelin II. I had no idea who BB King was – but I heard Jimmy Page’s solo to Whole Lotta Love. I had never heard anything like it. It was awesome. Only later did I understand the full extent of BB King’s influence and Jimmy’s supercharging it with overbends, chromatics and general aggression. Still one of my favorites to this day!
