1986 Rolex "Kermit" Gets Most Impressive Service - Watchmaking Magic!

Take a look inside a classic Rolex Submariner ref 16800 as our master watchmaker pampers it through a scheduled service.

Please note that when our client brought this 1986 Submariner in for an overhaul, we noticed that he had modded it with a lime green bezel insert characteristic of the 50th anniversary 16610V Submariner edition; in other words, this is not that Rolex Kermit. In fact, it's not a Kermit at all, since the 2003 edition was when the Kermit was actually created. It is the more “vintage” 16800 reference Sub.

Nevertheless, the servicing of this older Submariner is not affected by the above mentioned modifications. During this video, you'll see master watch maker Chrono Sky (see Instagram link below) take this Rolex Sub apart, piece by piece, then put it together meticulously and with extreme care before the watch undergoes final testing.
