Is HLS becoming a domestic military organization; What Does it Tell us About Trump's Move to Dictatorship (Keeping the World Company). The hosts for this show were Jay Fidell and Tim Apicella. The guests were Benjamin Davis, Jean Rosenfeld and Manfred Henningsen.

The discussion was: Our panel examines the proliferation of Trump’s Detention Centers. Why is he building them, how is he funding them, how is he operating them. How do t hey compare with his arrangement with El Salvador and his plan to do the same thing in Libya. How do t hey compare with his renewed use of Guantanamo and his plan to reopen Alcatraz. How are these actions connected with Trump’s rejection of the constitution, civil liberties, court orders and the rule of law in general. How are they connected with his unlawful denial of birthright citizenship and his efforts to terminate habeas corpus. It ’s not directed at the black and brown migrants and immigrants, documented or otherwise; it now includes citizens and even public officials of the US, including the Mayor of Newark. These legal outrages are continuing and emboldening Trump for more, and we can see that he is moving toward the most diabolical techniques used by the most diabolical dictators of the 20th century. Where does this go from here, who if anyone will stop him, and where and how does it end.

The takeaway was: We must follow and resist Trump’s efforts to terminate our civil liberties, and there are many examples these days of how he is doing that and how he will continue to do that in the future.
