I think the American people are smart. Look, look, uh, I I've not said that. What I've said is there were concerns about the 2020 election. I think Americans agree with that.

Now, Leslie Stahl is completely right. There is not an overwhelming consensus of the public that the 2020 election was stolen. In fact, it's quite the opposite now when you break it down by party affiliation. Yes. A majority of Republicans, according to polling, do think that there were issues some, some way in the 2020 election, but that doesn't even necessarily mean that they think it was stolen. They just think there were, you know, things that are not right. But here's what gets me about this story, okay? This clip absolutely made its way around social media this week. Um, Leslie Stahl in the headlines for smacking down Jim Jordan, doing all this great stuff, but all she did was tell the truth. You see, we are at a point in society with our media that a reporter simply telling a politician that, wait a minute, what you said was wrong?

Just that simple thing now gets you in the headlines. Like, oh my God, this person told a sitting lawmaker that they're lying. That used to be what the media did. Right? That's the job of the fourth estate. You are supposed to tell poll, you're supposed to hold power accountable. And now they do it so rarely that it has to be a national story when they do it. That's what blows my mind about this, and I think that's the part that everybody's overlooking. You know, a lot of folks on the progressive side have, have covered this story now, and, and it's because this isn't something the media does anymore. Yeah, we do it. Yeah. The left wing news sites do it. Sure. The Washington Post fact checker will run a story on page 20 fact checking a politician that nobody's ever gonna see.

But it's so rare to see this on primetime television that when it does happen, it does become headline news and that shows the failure of the media. If the media had been doing its job all these years, we wouldn't even have Jim Jordan in office. We wouldn't be going through any of this right now. But the media has become so pathetic.
