Modern Table with Dowel Joinery

Making quality furniture doesn't mean you need a $1,000 joinery tool. With just a $20 dowel jig, you can make strong and quality pieces.
This video shows how I made this table/desk, full of modern vibes with the tapered legs and chamfered top. The video also shows a couple of great woodworking tricks and tips, as well as a few other jigs.

There are loads of great and inexpensive dowel jigs out there. As I was using 3/4" thick wood, I went with the 3/8" dowel jig by Rockler. Here's a link to the exact jig: https://www.rockler.com/rockler-3-8-dowel-drilling-jig-kit
