Don't hook the wheel!

When your hands are on the steering wheel, they should be placed at the 9 o'clock and 3 o'clock positions. This is called the "9 and 3" hand placement.

Don't hook the wheel. Don't ever steer underhanded.

Proper hand positioning gives you the most control over the vehicle and allows you to react quickly in case you need to steer quickly and stay in control.

So remember - hands at 9 and 3! This simple habit keeps you in control and could help avoid accidents.
