North Wales Slate landscapes have recently been awarded UNESCO World Heritage Site status.

The area where slate was extracted has been derelict for years, but it’s beauty remains.

Walk with me around one such area, on my way up the Matterhorn of Wales… Cnicht. I think this area is absolutely stunning and worthy of any world wide recognition.
