The gorillas are getting tired of the heat, but they are looking forward to the popsicles offered as a snack.
As usual, Momotaro, the papa gorilla, was the first to get an ice lolly, followed by Kintaro and Genki.
Gentaro was a little frustrated because he could not get an ice lolly, but he was the last one to get one. He ate the popsicles with great relish, having been patiently waiting for them.
According to the Kyoto Zoo, the popsicles are made of rose hip tea with a small amount of honey, frozen, and then filled with mountain peaches.
Just listening to the recipe, it sounds delicious, doesn't it?
However, it was not Papa Gorilla Momotaro's favorite flavor, so the other family members were able to get the popsicles easily that day.
It might be a good idea to offer Momotaro something that is not his favorite flavor as a snack.
