Mugabe's reign of terror: In 2007 Unreported World travelled through Zimbabwe dodging President Robert Mugabe's security forces, meeting members of the political opposition, women who said they had been tortured and families struggling with an inflation rate of 2,000 per cent. Among the worst hit were children in the countryside orphaned by the Aids pandemic, and there is evidence to suggest that the Mugabe Government was using the supply of antiretroviral drugs for HIV and food aid to gerrymander elections.

This Unreported World classic first aired 18/05/2007, when Zimbabwe had the lowest life expectancy in the world.
