On June 18, 2005, Gerald Santos literally shocked
Filipino households when he sang "HANGGANG" during
the weekly TV show of GMA 7, PINOY POP SUPERSTAR year 2.
In that particular episode, he defeated the seven-week champion for the title, by scoring 99% from the judges; the highest grade ever obtained in the history of TV singing contests and / or reality shows.. To this date, this record has not yet been broken..
