Royal biographer casts doubt on Lady Glenconner’s Meghan Markle claim

Royal commentator and biographer Angela Levin says she doesn’t believe Lady Anne Glenconner's claim about Meghan Markle thinking royal life would be like as if she were “starring in a film all the time”.

Lady Anne Glenconner – a close friend of the late Queen Elizabeth II – has revealed that the Duchess of Sussex thought royal life would be like being a film star.

“Harry – who I spent a lot of time with, as you know – told me that he spent a lot of time telling her what she should do, what was important, what wasn’t so important, how her life would be,” Ms Levin told Sky News host Paul Murray.

“So, I’m not sure that this is actually true, but also, she, in fact, decided that the Royal Family was really like a company, like an office.

“She didn’t think of it as a fairy princess – she thought of it as a way of making money and getting help in a peculiar way.”
