President Biden on Friday nominated federal appeals court Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson, 51, to succeed retiring Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer. If confirmed, Jackson will be the first Black woman to sit on the Supreme Court and the second-youngest justice — behind Justice Amy Coney Barrett, who is 50. It will also mark the first time there will be two African-American justices and four women serving at the same time.
