Comp over Any Standard using these 2 Chord Shapes

In this lesson I teach you 2 very cool sounding shapes that can be used to comp over almost any standard regardless of being in a major or minor key. By just combining these 2 shapes and moving them to different locations on the fretboard they instantly convert into most of the chord types you’ll ever need! After teaching you how to derive most chord types by simply assigning a different root to each shape, I show you how I apply them while comping over Cole Porter’s “Night & Day”.

Chord Shape #1 02:02
Chord Shape#2 08:30
