We often stroll up by the fields that are a short walk from our house. Today, we took a camera across a newly ploughed field to see what the ploughman had turned up! It was a great day for clay pipe stems!

We also found some interesting sick glass - also known as glass disease or illness - is an interesting condition that some old glass can go through. There are various reasons for this and the effects are not always the same, though the kind of sick glass we found today is not all that uncommon, though it is not very commonly known about.

As Monday 25th is Burns Night (the evening that many, the world over, celebrate the life of Scots poet, Robert Burns), we thought we'd take a very brief look at his life and one of our favourite Burns poems, To a Mouse... As with any short account, so much more detail about the life of this complex figure is left out than is included - if you'd like to know more about Burns, let us know. We'll leave you with this wee factoid - only Christopher Columbus and Queen Victoria have more statues devoted to them, making Burns the third most non-religious figure represented by statues around the world.

Nicole round things off with some jewellery making, with a wee moosie motif, and a closer look at a few of today's stand out finds!

Update on Scotland's restrictions:

Today's video was filmed a short distance from our home, in an open field.

We continue to monitor the regulations to make sure that we can work safely, responsibly, and legally. At present, restrictions remain unchanged, as such, we can keep doing what we do without bending the rules in any way.

We are permitted to travel within, and up to five miles beyond, our local authority boundaries for exercise - further for work that cannot be done at home. We may travel in order to reach a location of safety and isolation. We remain committed working as close to home as possible, and we will not meet with anyone from another household, despite being permitted to do so. We remain entirely committed to maintaining social distancing for the safety of others and ourselves.

Our working policies are:

- Since March 2020, we have met with no one at all - no friends, no family members. We continued to isolate even when restrictions were relaxed.

- We never film in a busy location - aside from maintaining isolation, we could not make restful, calming, or relaxing content in a busy area.

- Since March 2020 we have restricted our travel to distances that meet very specific requirements: we always plan out trips so that we can get to our location, film our content, and return home, without ever visiting local amenities, entering any buildings etc. This gives us a reasonable window to work in while also maintaining that we are not out for very long.

- We only film once a week, and we always do that mid-week. If we arrive in an area and people are present, we do not leave the car, we simply leave and look for a safe place to work.

Our policies are simple and entirely concerned with maintaining social distancing so that we can be safe and so that we can ensure the safety of others. We will continue to follow these policies fully, and we will cease outdoor filming altogether should government guidance change.
