How to drag and drop samples and when to use sampler

Do you ever get confused about when to use samplers vs dragging and dropping a sample into your DAW?

If so, have no fear! In this week's Tutorial Tuesday video I’m going to show you the ins and outs of when to use samplers vs. when to use drag and drop sampling.

Spoiler alert: one technique is not necessarily better than the other. Instead, I’ll help you discover which technique is the best fit for you!

A sampler isn’t the only way to get samples into your song. 

You can also drag and drop samples right in! 

This is great for samples you’re only using in one section, or even if you just prefer to work with audio over midi.

I love to use samplers for things like one-shots (singular drums, chants, etc).

I like to drag and drop things like fills, risers, FX, and loops.
