Astrophysics in India: Technological challenges by Dr. Somak Raychaudhry, Director, IUCAA, Pune
Astrophysics in India: Technological challenges
by Dr. Somak Raychaudhry, Director, Inter-University Center for Astronomy and Astrophysics, Pune
Date: December 12, 2018
About the Event: Science to Doorsteps of Technocrats
The series of lectures aims to bring frontiers of science, which is the fountainhead of technology, to the doorstep of technocrats, thereby making them aware of the latest developments and help improve their preparedness in developing and/or adopting newer technologies. This, we hope, would make India at par in time and technology space with rest of the world: be in quantum computing or artificial intelligence or gene editing technologies or in the field of energy and reduction of carbon foot print.
Venue: Symbiosis Auditorium, Symbiosis Infotech Campus, Hinjewadi, Pune 411057
1. From big data to fundamental constituents of universe: Chasing new physics at the LHC- Higgs, Dark Matter & more
by Dr. Seema Sharma, Associate Professor, Dept. of Physics, IISER, Pune
Date: November 15, 2018; 3:30 pm onward
2. Astrophysics in India: Technological challenges
