إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُ iiaak naebud waiiaak nastaein

Youssef was listening until he stopped at this verse.
He asked his sheikh:
"Sheikh, what does this Ayah mean?"

The Sheikh smiled and answered:
"This means: You alone we worship, and You alone we ask for help."

"So, do we mean that we only worship Allah?"

"Yes, only Allah is the one we worship in all our actions."

"And do we only ask Him for help?"

The Sheikh replied with a smile:
"Exactly. People can help, but our hearts rely on Allah alone."

Yusuf breathed a sigh of relief and said:
"This makes me feel safe."

The Sheikh smiled and said:
"You should always feel this way, and never forget this Ayah, Yusuf."
