Prevention and Control of Distortion in Arc Welding

Native resolution is 480p (720x480 pixels); actual movie size is 640x480 VGA. Closed Captioning done by me.

A late 1940s-ish (some sources say late 1960s) production that involved Disney and Lincoln Electric which demonstrates the properties of distortion and methods for reducing its undesirable effects, along with a Mr. Shrink character to personify the principles of distortion.

Dumped from a VHS tape, then to a DVD for awhile, which was then dumped and crunched with Handbrake into AVC (.MP4, H.264) at approximately 1500Kbps and audio at 160Kbps. Note that this video comes from an "ancient" method of media (pre-dates VHS!) and as such, imperfections are the nature of this work.

No copyright infringement is intended, and I do not "own" this content. Posted for educational purposes and for preservation due to the difficulty of obtaining this media.

I spent two days manually close-captioning the whole thing. I tried to attach the .srt SubRip caption file to the movie but Handbrake wasn't doing it right, so I let YouTube take care of the .srt file. You can get the subtitle file here: http://pastebin.com/SMLZhZg9 -- or message me if you need it and it's offline or unavailable.
