Learning about HALAL FOOD: More than just no pork & no alcohol! - MALAYSIA STREET FOOD & TRAVEL VLOG

Malaysia is a predominantly Muslim. So Halal food in Malaysia is easy to find everywhere. There is even Chinese Halal food in Malaysia!

We are still in Kuantan, Pahang, and we went to a Chinese restaurant for breakfast called Restoran Hoi Yin to try its famous curry mee. Believe it or not, this Chinese eatery with its distinct kopitiam style is Muslim friendly!
So we got curious about Halal food...what makes food Halal? What kind of meat can Muslims eat? Can Muslim drink alcohol?

So since a local Muslim lady invited us for lunch, later on in the day we asked more questions about Halal food in Malaysia. Btw, for lunch we went to a stall called The Gulai Kawah to try a traditional Malay wedding food, which to us tasted similar to rendang.
