1977 was a great year for rock music and for the Ian Gillan Band, as their landmark album "Scarabus" became one of the greater releases from the classic rock and progressive rock era.

For their third album, Ian Gillan and his mates Ray Fenwick, Colin Towns, John Gustafson and Mark Nauseef ventured into new territory with a spirited set of 10 new originals that would soon become rock radio and rock fan favorites.

Tracks like "Mercury High" "Apathy" "Fool's Mate" and the classic title track "Scarabus" would become staples for the band, as their creative forces hit a new level with this fine release.

This amazing album has been out of print on vinyl for many years, that is until now......

Celebrating 5 Decades of the Ian Gillan Band, Friday Music is very pleased to announce "Scarabus-The Expanded Edition" which now features a superlative live track "My Baby Loves Me"
