Antarctica Condition 1 Storm

This video is from my winter 2015 in McMurdo Station. As part of the SAR team we conducted escorts and set up guide lines between the dorm and galley building to be used as needed. This is my return to the dorm building once all work was complete.

Severe Weather Condition I
Winds greater than 55 knots sustained for one minute, or
Visibility less than 100 feet sustained for one minute, or
Wind chill greater than -100°F sustained for one minute

Permission to go outside can be granted by station management. There is a rope at our feet should we suddenly need assistance navigating.

Yes, I still work in Antarctica in fact
