REMNANTS OF ARTHUR MOVE THROUGH THE LOWCOUNTRY FRIDAY MORNING (Updated Friday morning 6.19.2026)

Expect a round of showers and thunderstorms, associated with the remnants of Arthur, to move across the Lowcountry Friday morning.

Bursts of heavy rain, lightning and gusty wind will be the key players with a slight risk of an isolated severe thunderstorms capable of wind damage or a brief tornado. The greatest impacts will be through 10 AM.

We will clear this afternoon with temperatures climbing to around 90° before another risk of isolated to widely scattered thunderstorms arrives late in the afternoon and into the evening hours.

Drier weather is expected this weekend with more sunshine and highs in the low 90s.
