Recession in 2024?

Will there be a recession in 2024? If so, will this affect the Cabo Real Estate Market?

Many people were very loud about a recession in 2023. In fact, 85% of economists predicted a recession in 2023. Well the S&P 500 (SPY) rose 25% in 2023. Many of those same people are keeping quiet, but wiping the slate clean. They will be back yelling about a recession this year for the same reasons: the stock market is too high, people are getting laid off, the prices are too high.
We will see. The bears will be right sometime, but when will that be? In the meantime, the bears lost out on some serious gains over the last year.

I will go on record saying I think the Cabo real estate market will do the same numbers in 2024 as it did in 2023.
