This Tiny Artifact Could Change Biblical History

According to the Bible, Joshua built an altar on Mount Ebal after Israel entered the Promised Land.

Thousands of years later, archaeologists discovered a tiny folded lead tablet at the site — now known as the Mount Ebal Curse Tablet.

Advanced scans appeared to reveal ancient proto-alphabetic writing, and some researchers believe the inscription may contain a curse formula and even the divine name of God.

Not every archaeologist agrees with the interpretation, but discoveries like this continue to spark debate in biblical archaeology.
