East Lancashire Railway - Autumn Steam Gala - Friday 15th October 2021

On Friday 15th, Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th October 2021, the East Lancashire Railway held their Autumn Steam Gala

We attended on the Friday of the event at Burrs Country Park, which saw 8 locomotives in steam with passenger and goods trains running during the event.

Locomotives featured in the video are:
- GWR 5600 Class no.5643
- L&YR Class 23 no.51456
- SR West Country Class no.34092 'City of Wells'
- LMS Class 3F Jinty no.47298 (first gala appearance since return to steam, but unfortunately failed on Friday evening)
- GWR 7800 Manor Class no.7820 'Dinmore Manor' (Courtesy of Gloucestershire & Warwickshire Railway)
- BR Standard Class 4MT Tank no.80097
- LMS Ivatt Class 2 2-6-2T no.41312 (Courtesy of Mid Hants Railway)
- L&YR Class 27 no.52322

60009 Union of South Africa was supposed to have appeared at the event but was formally retired early from service due to issues with boiler tubes so was removed from service but was on display at Bury (doesn't feature)

Sentinel Works 7232 'Ann' would also be in service on Saturday only shunting wagons around Bury
