Ba Na Hills, Golden Bridge, Giant Hand Bridge, Da Nang, Vietnam - 4K Drone

Ba Na Hills, Golden Bridge, Giant Hand Bridge, Da Nang, Vietnam - 4K Drone: Wow! Central Vietnam is really becoming a jewel for travel and again surprised us with one of the most significant resort & amusement park complex in Asia. Ba Na Hills is located on top of the Truong Son Mountains at 1,487 meters above sea level and 42km (26 miles) west from the city of Da Nang.

To get to the theme park, you will have to ride the cable car system which opened in March 2013 and holds several Guinness World Records, including the widest gap between stations (longest non-stop single track cable car at 5,801 meters (19,032 ft.) and the greatest change in elevation. The cable car system has the accumulated capacity of nearly 7,000 passengers/hour. The Ba Na Cable Car had to be the most exciting and longest ride we have experienced. The views of the mountains, its extreme changing elevation and rising above the clouds made our journey so spectacular.

The latest tourist attraction is The Golden Bridge or “Giant Hand Bridge” which just opened in June 2018 and admired by The Guardian as “The world’s most impressive pedestrians’ bridge”. The walk on the Giant Hand Bridge was just breathtaking. It made us feel like two giant hands are holding the bridge for us as we walked above the mountains. Unbelievable!

After The Golden Bridge, we spent some time exploring the Le Jardin D’amour flower gardens which are divided into nine gardens with nine unique architectural styles. There is a 27 meter tall white Buddha Shakyamuni statue overlooking the clouds and mist of Ba Na Hills, visible for miles around. Then we went inside the Debay Ancient Wine Cellar and tried their Sangria. In 1919, the French discovered the Ba Na Hills area and had built a resort to be used as a leisure destination for French tourists. However, everything was mostly destroyed during the war, and only Debay Ancient Wine Cellar was left which was dug deep inside the mountain in 1923.

Later, we took another short cable car up another mountain to the French Village which reenacts an old- fashioned and tranquil France lined with recognizable classical landmarks such as the Moulin Rouge, St. Denis Church, town square, old villages, inns, and even alleys paved in cobblestones. You will see some performers in colorful costumes. There is also an amusement park filled with video games and roller coasters. Afterwards, we took a break and had a lunch buffet where they served delicious international cuisines.

We continued to walk up the mountain to see the Ling Ung Pagoda. A Swiss made funicular, only one of its kind in Vietnam, connects this Ling Ung Pagoda area to the giant white Buddha Shakyamuni statue in the Golden Bridge area. This resort park is huge. You will do a lot of walking and take a series of cable cars. There is a beautiful French style hotel, The Mercure Danang French Village Bana Hills, where you can stay & enjoy the resort fully for your convenience. The development of Ba Na Hills is still on-going and expanding. I highly recommend you put Ba Na Hills in your next travel adventure!
