Karachi Illegal Construction Mafia Exposed | Rehan & Muqeem Among 23 Most Wanted Builders | ARZ NEWS

In a shocking revelation from Karachi's Liaquatabad area, authorities have identified 23 builders involved in large-scale illegal constructions. Among the most wanted are two notorious brothers, Rehan and Muqeem, who reportedly control the entire illegal construction network in the district. Rehan is considered the ringleader of this mafia and allegedly enjoys protection from certain police officials and government departments.

Other infamous names include Rashid Masala, Shahid Lemon Pani, Umair Miranda, Ijaz Kapkapi, and many others, who have been illegally constructing 7-storey buildings on 80-yard residential plots, risking lives and violating all safety norms. Multiple buildings have already collapsed in the area, leading to fatalities.

Despite recommendations by SBCA DG Muhammad Ishaq Khoso, local police stations—particularly Liaquatabad Police—are allegedly hesitant to act due to internal connections and monthly bribes. A crackdown is currently underway across the Central District, with over 30 raids and 20 arrests made so far. A grand operation against this mafia is reportedly being planned.
